Despite plenty of challenges facing dairy farmers, the industry is "starting to look pretty good" as an investment, says Ross Verry, chief executive of Syndex, a private markets investment company.
"The payout has been higher [and] more consistent over the past few years and I think land values have adjusted as well so people are starting to get something of a return," Verry told Rural Exchange.
"If you stand back and look at dairy as an investment now it's starting to look pretty good."
