After providing chemical products to growers around New Zealand for more than 50 years, BASF is continuing to develop new technology to help the industry thrive.

"We never sit back on our laurels and look at the things we've delivered - we're always looking forward and trying to bring new products and new innovations to the market," Tim Herman, senior technical services specialist at BASF, told Magic Talk's Rural Today.

Over the next few years, says Herman, the company has "some really exciting products coming in".

One of those is a fungicide that will help growers produce export-quality grapes and apples.

Herman says the product will "be lifting that disease control to another level and helping those growers deliver."
