Livestock market 'a bit slow' as unsettled weather takes its toll

Store values are down and there's been a dip in slaughter prices too, as unsettled weather has made for an "interesting time" in the livestock market.

Wayne McEntee, head of livestock at Heartland Bank, spoke to Rural Exchange to give an update on the market.

"Things are a bit slow," he said. "Because the weather's been interesting - it's been dry and warm in some parts and in other parts it's been cold and a little bit wet."

Listen to the interview with McEntee for the full market update.
