Livestock market still plagued by 'uncertainty' as COVID-19 drags on

After a "tough old spring" there has been more movement in the local livestock market recently, says Wayne McEntee, head of livestock at Heartland Bank.

Rain in many parts of the country has meant there is more product on the market, which should get "people trading [and] transactions happening".

McEntee spoke to Rural Exchange to give an update on the livestock market.

"There's a lot of uncertainty still in the market even now, but it's great that many farmers in New Zealand can kick on with the season now we've had some rain, because it was a tough old spring in some parts of the country," he said.
