A group of high-profile kiwifruit identities are backing an investment fund specifically aimed at raising money to purchase existing or greenfield SunGold kiwifruit orchards.
Origins Capital Partners co-founder Dominic Jones spoke to Rural Exchange about the venture.
Jones said the group was aiming to raise between $50 million and $100 million.
"We're only going to invest in kiwifruit and we're only going to invest in SunGold kiwifruit," he said.
"Kiwifruit is an incredibly attractive investment at the moment and we believe it will remain so."
