High hopes for rural real estate market in 2021

There are high hopes for the rural real estate market in 2021, after a strong end to the year.

Conrad Wilkshire, Property Brokers' general manager of rural, says the positive end to 2020 "reflects the general confidence in farming".

Wilkshire spoke to Rural Today to give an update on the rural property market.

"Going into 2021 it's quite a different year [compared] to the last three years," Wilkshire said

"And while some of the issues around environmental operating constraint and access to banking credit are still present, our view is there's a general understanding about those issues and the underlying returns are a lot more proven, and the confidence is translating  - so we actually think the market this year is going to be different."
