How to minimise fire risk this dry season

With hot and dry conditions across many parts of the country, wildfire restrictions are in place at this time of year.

The threat of unwanted fire is still high from common land management and farming activities at the peak of the fire season.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) is encouraging people to take action to prevent fires by understanding the risks posed by different activities involved in farming and working the land.

FENZ wildfire specialist Graeme Still spoke to Rural Exchange to share some tips on how to minimise those risks.
