Wānaka residents surrounded by native kanuka tree fear they're living in a fire trap

Residents of neighbouring Wānaka subdivisions have met over fears they're living in a fire trap.

Mt Iron, to the east of the Wānaka township, is surrounded by native kanuka that's abundant, protected, and highly combustible.
