Prime Minister John Key won a game of 9 in 10 on the Paul Henry programme earlier this week.
He agreed to donate his prize – a Jeep Cherokee – to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The charity's chief executive Wayne Howett told Paul Henry this morning he was driving to work when he found out about the donation.
[My phone] just went crazy and I couldn't understand what was going on," he says. "They said the Prime Minister had won you a Jeep Cherokee so I thought, 'That's fantastic'."
