Labour slammed for racist housing slurs

Labour is being slammed by the Asian community following its controversial analysis of Auckland home ownership based on Chinese-sounding surnames.

It's sparked a nationwide debate on racism and now former staffer and Labour activist Phil Quin has quit the party in disgust.

RadioLIVE political reporter Lloyd Burr joined Paul Henry from Parliament.

"I don’t think they thought the fallout from this would be going for so long, it’s nearly day six into this. He would be getting frustrated. This whole thing was really targeted at Chinese and it's really causing a lot of backlash."
