Should children be banned from fancy restaurants?

Queensland's award-winning Flynn's Restaurant has banned all children under seven from the establishment after a dispute between a toddler's mother and staff.

So how big is this problem and is this something we should consider doing here?

Tony Stewart the owner of Auckland’s high-end restaurant Clooney joined Paul Henry this morning.

"Personally at Clooney it would be detrimental to my business if I allowed a child to potentially ruin the night of many others. I have a responsibility to my dining guests. They are playing big bucks and the night has to be perfect."
