Bruce Mahalski is a Wellington artist whose main medium is bone.
Mr Mahalski puts hundreds of hours into his work, with many of them spent collecting the bones.
"I'm not just playing with these materials," he says. "This is a serious conversation I'm trying to have about the nature of human life."
He works with rabbit bones, cat bones, rat bones, and yes – occasionally human bones.
