Magicians have come a long way since the days of a man in a tuxedo chopping his assistant in two.
TV illusionists like Dynamo and David Blaine are two of the rockstars of the modern magic world.

Ben Hanlin, Brett Loudermilk, Adam Mada and James Galea combine to make a quartet known as Band of Magicians, and they have just started their tour in Dunedin.
"When you have four magicians actually coming together to create something greater than the sum of their parts, the magic that you can come up with has never been seen in the world," says Galea. "And definitely not in New Zealand."
