In a local Auckland newspaper a couple of weeks ago, National MP Maggie Barry was defending the fact that she does use public transport - the local ferry to be exact.
This is fantastic news, until you know she drives to the ferry terminal from her house only 755 metres away.
So we thought hey, let's help. Let's show the minister a few other ways to travel.
