The Global Financial Crisis was considered the world's worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.
A lot of people lost money, homes and their pride, but Pie Funds founder Mike Taylor came out of it with a fortune.
Mr Taylor started his investment fund during the financial crisis with $3 million, and since then he has grown his fund to $260 million.
"I started investing when I was 18, it was something I always loved growing up," he says. "I saw it as, you could do something and you could be right and you could make money."
