Everest is a New Zealand story with an amazing international cast.
After opening the prestigious Venice film festival, the true story is heading to our cinemas.
It is a true story based on Rob Hall, a New Zealand mountaineer who led commercial expeditions up Mt Everest during the 1990s until he died on one of these trips.
The film is shot in 3D in a lot of mountain ranges, including Mt Everest which makes for some spectacular viewing.
3 News online entertainment editor Dan Rutledge says it doesn't disappoint, calling it the best film of the year so far.
He joined Paul Henry in studio this morning with his rare five star review.
