Wellington-based artist Max Patte is about to open his first major show in the capital.
But for those who know his work, it probably isn't what you are expecting.
Patte is still riding the wave of success from his famous Wellington sculpture 'Solace in the Wind', though the recognition is something he would like to shake.
"I never wanted to be pigeonholed purely as a sculptor," he says.
He hopes his debut Wellington show will reveal a new side to him.
"This exhibition's definitely a move away from that big, heavy, industrial-natured work and much more, with light and colour and space and atmosphere."
