Two Australian death penalty experts have touched down in New Zealand to convince the Government to get tough against the practice in other countries.
Lawyer Julian McMahon says New Zealand could do more to end the global practice.
Three of his clients have been executed, and he told the Paul Henry programme it can be very hard to deal with.
"I've known the boys very well by the time they died, so it affects you pretty hard," he says.
"Like many professionals, we deal with tragedies… you work out a way to deal with it and you get on with the job – that's what we do."
