A survey has found many people approaching retirement are unsure about how to manage their KiwiSaver funds when they reach 65.
It's Money Week and the Commission for Financial Capability and the Financial Markets Authority have released research into how well older New Zealanders are preparing for retirement.
One in four said they were unsure of what to do with their KiwiSaver funds.
Only 44 percent said the information they had received from their provider was useful for making decisions about their retirement.
The commission and the FMA both say the findings show the need for more useful information so that people don't risk blowing their savings when they reach 65.
