In a hypothetical poll for US President, Donald Trump is only six points behind Hillary Clinton.
It's astounding to us, but Americans obviously think he's a suitable world leader.
In two polls, Trump has narrowed the gap between himself and Clinton from 16-points to six.
US correspondent Dylan Howard joined Paul Henry this morning to discuss why that is.
He says a lot of Trump's popularity has to do with the amount of media exposure Trump receives.
"He's got a lot of sizzle, but very little substance."
