It can be the make or break of a dining experience.

Lawrence Nadaeu is one of the world's top maître d's who has spent 35 years mastering the art.

Until just a few weeks ago, he was a maître d' at the French Laundry – a restaurant notoriously known for being one of the hardest places to get a booking.

It's been ranked in the top 10 restaurants in the world year, after year.

Nadeau joined Paul Henry this morning to share what it's like working for some of the world's best restaurants.
