Anyone who's been using the cheating website Ashley Madison has probably been sweating over the last couple of days.
It's been big news that the names of everyone signed up, including Kiwis, have been hacked and leaked.
Story received a copy of the hacked information today and checked it for Kiwis, and we decided to give some of them a call.
We found 27,000 email addresses ending with '.nz' and did a bit of rough analysis.
They're mostly people either side of 30 or over 50, and Auckland seems to make up a fair portion of this quota.
The big leak came yesterday, when a 9.7 gigabyte file was uploaded to Tor network, which is a part of the internet only accessible with special software.
The hacking group responsible for the breach in privacy are dubbed the Impact Team, and they had warned Ashley Maddson's owners, Avid Life Media, to shut down the site earlier this year.
