Two-hundred-thirty countries, 17 to go – John Bougen is about to become the most-travelled man in the world. He's also a Kiwi.
He still has just a few places to tick off before he can officially claim the record for world's most well-travelled man.
"There are 247 nations, territories dependencies and autonomous regions," says Mr Bougen, and his goal is get to every one of them.
He wrote a book after he had knocked off 191 nations in just 150 days. Mr Bougen reckons the New Zealand accent and passport can get you to most.
But you probably won't be able to guess where this Kiwi travel man has decided to call home.
