Two weeks ago NASA announced they'd found water on mars sparking new excitement about the chance of life on other planets.
But Dr Seth Shostak says it's more than just a chance. He's an astronomer at the SETI Institute who says we'll find aliens within 24 years.
In fact, he's so convinced he says he will buy every Paul Henry viewer a coffee if he has it wrong.
