At the moment, Peina Clarke is one of 12 convicts, but there could be hundreds more to come over in the next five years.

Clarke is a Kiwi convicted of violent crimes in Australia who is now forced to call New Zealand home.

But we do not want him here and he does not want to be here.

He has arrived with the clothes on his back, little money and has been thrown in to a suburb he does not know.

So how will he and other convicts cope in a foreign place? Will they reoffend? Are we, the public, in harm's way?
