Another Australian owned bank has announced a big profit – this time it is Westpac.
It's made $916 million here in New Zealand in the year to September.
The big four Australian banks have made $4.59 billion over the past year. That amounts to $1000 for every New Zealander.
The profits have risen on the back of growth in lending.
But analysts now expect profits to slow as the economy slows.
Many people will be wondering whether the bank's profits are excessive.
