National MP Judith Collins and Labour MP Annette King joined Paul Henry to discuss the week in politics.
PARLIAMENT WALK OUT
Prime Minister John Key’s accusations that Labour is, “backing the rapists” at the Christmas Island Detention Centre prompted a mass walk out in Parliament this week for two days in a row. Tuesday saw a mass walk out from Labour MPs after Speaker David Carter refused to make the Prime Minister apologise for his comments, and on Wednesday, a number of women from the opposition left the debating chamber in protest.
Seven New Zealanders have been transferred to a maximum security prison in Perth following riots at the Christmas Island Detention Centre. The detainees allegedly smashed property and took part in the recent stand off against authorities, causing $1 million in damage.
