VNZMA: Those Who Came Off Victorious

VNZMA: Those Who Came Off Victorious

It's the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.

It's prestigious. It's glamorous.

It's Taika Waititi swinging his microphone around his crotch.

Brother and sister duo Broods took to the stage four times, topping the Tui tally. They took home Album of the Year, Best Group, Best Pop Album for Evergreen, and Radio Airplay Record of the Year.

Marlon Williams scored this year's Best Male Solo Artist as well as Breakthrough Artist of the Year.

Best Female Solo Artist went to Gin Wigmore and her stunning performance proved it was well-deserved.

Another golden gal was of course Lorde, accepting Single of the Year for 'Yellow Flicker Beat'.

Lorde also won an International Achievement Award, along with Savage.

Best Alternative Album went to Unknown Mortal Orchestra while Janine and the Mixtape won Best Urban/Hip-Hop Album.

Great North went home with Best Folk Album and Sol3 Mio went home with Highest Selling Album.

Then it was time for everyone to go home.
