Defence Minister Gerry Brownlee has just returned from Brussels where he met with defence ministers from countries involved in the anti-islamic state coalition at the first "Counter-Daesh Defence Ministerial Meeting".
It comes as the Prime Minister revealed that he rejected a request from the US to send SAS soldiers to join the coalition against the terror group.
Mr Brownlee joined Paul Henry to discuss the situation in Iraq and Syria.
