Extended interview: veterans' affairs minister Craig Foss

Last week 33 Australians who died during the Vietnam War and Malayan Emergency were returned home after resting in Malaysian cemeteries for 50 years.

They left behind 32 kiwis buried in similar graves who fell during the same conflicts.

The New Zealand Government has turned down requests from their relatives to have the remains repatriated.

The Nation programme spoke to veterans' affairs minister Craig Foss about the reasons for the Government's decision.
