Amazon is preparing to launch its own music streaming service.
Reuters reports that at US$9.99 it will compete directly with the likes of Apple Music, Spotify, You Tube and Tidal.
It is part of Amazon's goal to be a one-stop shop for content and goods.
The company is also planning to ramp up its video streaming service.
This is another challenge for traditional media companies. Amazon's already spending US$2 billion a year on original video content.
