Annabelle spoke to Mark about reasons to visit Hawaii and her top three 'off the beaten track' places to visit.
1. Waikiki is always busy but you can escape to a quieter great swimming spot close to Waikiki ‐ walk towards Diamond Head and past the old baths for great swimming and then walk up to Leonard's Bakery for the best malasadas Portuguese donuts ‐ even the bus ride around Oahu great day's activity and not touristy.
2. Kaua'i ‐ the garden island and most authentic Hawaiian island ‐ where wild chickens run over the road and you may even see wild pigs - go to Waimea canyon and walks on the Northern beaches ‐ picturesque and dramatic landscapes.
3. Forget fine dining and eat with the locals in Kaua'i its Tip Top eatery for banana macadamia pancakes or oxtail soup and Hamura Saimen Ramen for a great bowl of Ramen soup for a few dollars.
