Awaroa becomes publicly owned

It was the Give A Little Campaign which attracted a nation of followers and thousands of donors.

And, while it seemed a lofty task to move Awaroa Beach from private to public ownership, they pulled it off.

Yesterday, Awaroa Beach officially became part of the Abel Tasman National Park, and became the beach for all New Zealanders to use.

What plans are in place to keep this piece of New Zealand pristine for future generations?
