Kiwi girl headed for space

New Plymouth girl Monique Oliver has one goal: she wants to be the first Kiwi astronaut to go to space.

She’s been fascinated with the extra-terrestrial for most of her life, and has already attended a NASA space programme in Texas.

With the help of AMP last year Monique landed a study scholarship to help her dream come true.

She joined Mark Sainsbury this morning, filling in for Paul Henry.
