Steven Joyce has let slip that the Government will no longer take a $92 million dividend from Housing New Zealand in order to build more state houses.
This comes just two days after Labour announced this very same policy.
Labour has pledged to build 100,000 affordable homes in 10 years under a $2 billion master plan
Mr Joyce was quickly called out, because in the budget it says Housing NZ will be paying the Government the $92m, but what’s not in the budget.
