The International Olympic Committee has had to borrow millions from Brazil to cover security spending and the city's been marred by the mugging of Australian athletes at gunpoint.
Now, two weeks out from the opening ceremony, members of the New Zealand team have been turned into makeshift tradesmen to help tidy up shortcomings.
