Labour's housing conference held today

Labour leader, Andrew Little, had the idea to hold a cross party inquiry into homelessness.

National didn't partake, so Labour, the Greens and the Maori will run the public hearings, the first of which started today.

Experts and homeless people have spoken at a conference at Te Puea Marae In Auckland.

Labour's housing spokesman Phil Twyford joined Paul Henry before attending this morning.
