Natalie Rooney secures NZ first medal in Rio

New Zealand shooter Natalie Rooney has claimed New Zealand's first medal at the Rio Olympics after winning silver in the women's trap.

The 28-year-old from Timaru has solidified her place in history, securing the country’s greatest Olympic shooting result. The only previous medal was a bronze, won by 50m prone rifle shooter Ian Ballinger at the 1968 Mexico City Games.

Michelle Pickles is in Rio, and joined Paul Henry to talk about the win, banning Russian Paralympic athletes and how two Australian rowing coaches were robbed.
