There was some unexpectedly good news for dairy farmers and the New Zealand economy on Wednesday morning.
Prices have risen 12.7 percent at the latest global dairy auction.
The all-important Whole Milk Powder category rose 18.9 percent.
Farmers will want to see more price rises before most will be back to breakeven point.
