$130m family violence law makeover

A $130 million overhaul of New Zealand's family violence law has been announced, but how much of a difference will it make?

Some of the measures include flagging family violence offending on criminal records, and the creation of new offences such as non-fatal strangulation, assault on a family and coercion to marry.

Anti-family violence campaigner, chief executive of the Great Potentials Foundation, Dame Lesley Max, spoke to Paul Henry this morning.
