Labour has promised to fast-track a light rail line from Auckland's CBD to Mt Roskill if it wins next year's election.

It's part of the party's Mt Roskill by-election pledge, but National has labelled it as pork-barrel politics.

Prime Minister John Key appeared on the show this morning to discuss that, a push to make the late Helen Kelly 2017's New Zealander of the Year, the impending Cabinet reshuffle and whether DoC should charge people who use the country's Great Walks.
