Easter's upon us yet again, a time for chocolate eggs and a long weekend!
But it's also a religious holiday, based on events central to Christianity.
These days around 40 percent of NZ primary schools give Christian Religious Instruction and parents must opt-out if they wish to remove their child from the class.
This is causing some to argue there is a direct discrimination to non-religious and non-Christian students.
Some are advocating for a more general Religious Education programme in our curriculum and Professor Peter Lineham is one of them.
He spoke to Duncan Garner.
