How fake news influences election outcomes

Fake news is everywhere these days. It's so prevalent that Facebook has introduced a system to help users spot it. 

Now a report from cyber security firm Trend Micro has shown that it's a political grenade as well. 

The report shows how easy it is for fake news to manipulate voters during election campaigns using cyber propaganda to produce very 'real-world' outcomes.

Head of Public Relations at Massey University, Dr Chris Galloway spoke to Eric Young.
