Mondelēz International yesterday announced that, despite an exhaustive search, no local manufacturer could be found to take on production of its iconic Kiwi Cadbury confectionery products.
Production will now shift to Mondelēz sites in Australia, where the company claims its products will be made with the same taste and quality standards currently enjoyed.
Cadbury's parent company has previously confirmed the factory will end operations in early 2018.
