Changes could be on the cards for our welfare system under the new Government.
The system was overhauled in 2013 with the aim of getting beneficiaries 'work-ready', but since the reform Social Development Minister Carmel Sepuloni says thousands of children have been negatively affected.
Ms Sepuloni told Three's The Hui she wants to see a review of the Social Security Act.
"I think that's a really important starting point, because that allows us to analyse whether or not policies through the Ministry of Social Development are having a negative impact on children - and if they are, then we genuinely need to reassess whether or not they need to be there."
