Don Brash rates current Government 0/10

Former National Party leader Don Brash has given the government a 'zero out of 10' rating for their performance so far.

He recently issued the former Key-English National Government the same low score and told Newshub Nation today he thinks nothing has improved since the election.

"I don't rate them well, to be honest, their hearts are absolutely in the right place but they are naive economically in a whole range of areas.

"What have they actually done?...I rated the Key-English Government zero out of ten and I can't see any improvement in policy on behalf of the current Government."

Mr Brash pointed to the Government's plans to sharply increase the minimum wage to $20 by 2020 as an example of policy he thinks is 'well meaning but counter-productive'.

"Everyone wants to see people paid better, there's no question about that. Everyone wants  a living wage, or better than a living wage. But simply mandating a higher payment means that a whole bunch of people with few skills just will not get jobs."
