A new bylaw is proposed to slash speed limits on some Auckland roads to 30km/h to protect the cyclists and pedestrians.
According to Auckland Transport, the majority of Auckland road deaths and serious injuries occur on 50km/h urban roads, and involve pedestrians and cyclists.
Should we lower the speed limit in some 50km/h areas to make it safer?
