Kupu: the app you need this Māori language week

Kupu is a new app  that uses the camera in your phone to instantly translate objects into te reo Māori.

The app works by taking a photo of an everyday object and the name for it is translated in real time. You can then click on the speaker button and hear it said aloud for you to practice.

Social media presenter Shannon Redstall spoke to Duncan Garner.
