A new study has found the academic performance of young men at single sex New Zealand schools is greater than boys at co-educational schools.
The study, by Victoria University's Dr Michael Johnston, Faculty of Education, compares the performances of young men in Years 11 to 13 in both kinds of schools.
Over a three year period, boys from single sex schools have gained NCEA qualifications, University Entrance and New Zealand Scholarship passes in greater proportions than their counterparts at co-educational schools.
Do you think single sex or co-ed schools provide better education outcomes?
