New Australian law may have major impact on privacy

Australia has passed a law empowering police to force technology companies to provide a way of snooping on encrypted communications.

It's designed to force technology companies like Apple and Samsung to grant police access to encrypted messages, but experts warn it could open all of us up to blackmail.

Technology expert Paul Ralph spoke to Duncan Garner on The AM Show.
